Zugana Violence: ACN accused SOSG, Police for Political Persecution!!

Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Sokoto state chapter, said the current desperation and political persecution of the oppositions by the Sokoto state government along with connivances of police could threaten the free and fair elections in the state.

Gubernatorial candidate of the party Alhaji Isah Bajini Galadanci made this in an exclusives interview with some selected journalists in Sokoto, Wednesday.

He said, the antics of PDP controlled government of attacking political opponents and parties' supporters with thugs and later frame unnecessary accusation will not bring peace and stability of the polity some days to election in Sokoto state.

He expresses his concern of the sponsorship of political thuggery and violence by the PDP controlled government and the use of law enforcement agents to scared away the oppositions as a desperate measure capable of igniting chaos and threat to the survival of the unity and progress of the state

Alhaji Isah Bajini Galadanci described alleged accusation of the ACN chieftains, by the PDP of sponsoring assassination attempt of the Governor Wamakko as nothing but 'Bunch of lies and cheap propaganda' in order to bring chaos and disunity in the state.

He said, Governor Wamakko as chief security of the state, he must understand his responsibility by protecting lives and properties of the people of Sokoto state irrespective of political differences, anything short of that; is an injustice and irresponsibility to the yearning and aspiration of peaceful existence of the state.

 
Alhaji Isah Bajini Galadani assured that, their “As you are aware, in the last three and half years, the state government received huge funds from the federal government as compared to when Bafarawa was the governor of the state, but unfortunately, Wamakko cannot show anything tangible for the huge resources at his disposal, so people are angry and frustrated with this government, it is time for change” Bajini added.

ommitment to the peace and unity of the state will not be shaken, said, 'Wamakko, can not fight conviction of the people with threat and power' People have already made their minds for positive changes; therefore, nothing can shake that beliefs and determination.

He said, the PDP government is a failure to the people of Sokoto state, they now supported the CACN for change, and the party is ready to offer them good leadership through commitment and hard work of building virile society of peace and progress.

  Alhaji Isah Bajini Galadanci who spend two hours at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the State Police Command Headquarters along with some other party chieftains to verify their role over the alleged plot of assassination of the Governor Wamakko at Zugana village of Gada local government.

Governor Wamakko's political thugs last Monday attacked and burned down hundreds of houses and shops at Zugana town, after they were pelted by the villagers, during a campaign rally tour at Gada local government of the state.

The ACN chieftains were invited by the Police this Wednesday to explain their role and participation on the attack on Governor Wamakko's convoy at Zugana town after PDP leaders in Sokoto state accused ACN with hands on the attack.

The police who brought seven people to the interrogation include one death person who died over six months ago as part of the people that masterminded the attack on wamakko.

Later police asked them to go home after writing statement of their facts and whereabouts during the violence attack on the Wamakko's convoy. Hundreds of party supporters besieged the police Hqs to awaits the outcome of the meeting.
