COURT RULES ON COMMITTAL PROCEEDING AGAINST OKOYA-THOMAS, OTHERS APRIL 1
Lagos - A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, yesterday, adjourned till April 1, to rule on the committal proceeding initiated against Lagos businessman and foremost industrialist, Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas and others for allegedly flouting its orders.
Trial judge in the matter, Justice Mohammed Idris, adjourned for ruling, after parties argued the contempt proceedings.
Thomas and other members of the Caretaker Committee of the Lagos Island Club, including Alhaji M. Anibaba, Prof. John Godwin, Mr. Francis Akinyanmi, Sir Jide Oki, Mr. Yanju Scott, Mr. Eugene Okon, Chief A. Adejumo and Prof. Adele Jinadu, were charged with contempt of court.
