BUHARI BERATES PDP

By NBF News

Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), General Muhammadu Buhari has accused the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of entrenching corruption in the country.

Buhari who stated this during the flag off of his North-Central Presidential campaign rally in Minna, Niger State, described the 12 years rule of the PDP as a disaster.

He explained that before the advent of the PDP rule in 1999, the Nigerian-state had functional shipping line, a fleet of aircraft that constituted the national carrier, potable water and stable power supply.

General Buhari noted that the misrule of the PDP has eroded the gains of the past. 'Corruption has been the bane of this country promoted by the PDP in the last 12 years,' he said.

He described himself as someone on a redemption mission to rescue the nation and restore her to her pride of place. He vowed to ensure that all dilapidated infrastructure are rehabilitated. Buhari particularly highlighted road, education, agriculture and healthcare delivery as some of the major areas he would accord priority, if elected.

He called on Nigerians to come out en-masse and vote during the forthcoming election, warning that they must resist rigging by monitoring and protecting their votes during the polls. Buhari said they should ensure that it is only those that they vote for that assume position of leadership from May 29, warning that they should not allow the business as usual practice to thrive under the forthcoming dispensation.

He charged Nigerians to ensure that the country is delivered from the grip of the PDP by ensuring that their votes count in 2011 and also vote out the PDP.
