Acclaimed king of comedy in Nigeria and theatre leader, Babatunde Omidina a.k.a Baba Suwe is no doubt in a happy mood as he clocks the golden age on Friday, 22 August.

Although the Ikorodu-born actor who has spent close to 30 years in the make-believe industry is still keeping mum on the celebration, NFC gathered that he is currently planning to celebrate in a special way.

Among his plans to celebrate the 50th birthday, NFC learnt, is the release of a new film titled 'Ese Aro' (first step in life) which he dedicated to the immediate past governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his giant strides when he was at the helm of affairs in the Centre of Excellence.

Speaking with NFC, Omidina, who has just completed the recording of another comedy musical album to further prove his versatility as an entertainer, stated that arrangement to celebrate the golden jubilee, is still under wraps.

“I intend to celebrate it in a very special way which I won't disclose to anyone for now. My decision on the birthday celebration is irrespective of what people may be expecting of me in time like this,” he stated.

He also hinted that a lot of people have been calling to know how he intends to gather momentum on the day but he has decided to keep mute over the birthday for reasons best known to him.

“Even, I have received many calls from my fans in America and London who also want to organise a celebration for me, but my intention will be announced when I make up my mind,” he further stated.
