By NBF News

Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, candidate for Warri South-West Constituency, Delta State, Mr Alex Eyengho, has promised to rescue the area from under-representation and misrepresentation if elected into the Delta State House of Assembly.

Eyengho, the Editor of Warri Mirror  magazine and national co-ordinator of the Warri Interest Group, WIG, who will slug it out with other candidates including  Mr Daniel Mayuku of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who is seeking a third term in the House, said he will win in a free and fair election.

The filmaker, in a statement by his campaign organisation said, 'in truth, I am indeed humbled by the clarion call on me by the good people of Warri South-West Constituency, to come on board and rescue them from under-representation and total misrepresentation in the Delta State House of Assembly, particularly in the last eight years. I am left with no other option than to yield to the voice of my people, particularly my Itsekiri and Ijaw brothers and sisters.'

To demonstrate his preparedness for the race, the journalist recently resigned as Editor of Warri Mirror Magazine, a post he  held  since 2000.

'I know that if in truth there will be the much talked about 'one-man, one-vote,' if the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will ensure a level-playing field for all candidates irrespective of political parties, I will win the election overwhelmingly,' he added.
