In his first term in office, Governor Uduaghan has successfully consolidated on the works of his predecessor and also gone ahead to execute new projects that further cast his names on the golden pages of Delta State.

His first term has been blessed with a more peaceful reign to that of his predecessors. An advantage that his government has optimized and taken value added advantage on in building a better Delta State despite continued criticism from not just the Elder statesmen like Edwin Clarke but also from various ethnic nationalities within the State that consider themselves marginalized.

His first term has witnessed an improved healthcare delivery system via the rehabilitation of various health institutions within the state and also an improvement in the welfare of healthcare personnel’s. Similarly various road rehabilitation projects are ongoing.

Also working for the Governor is the Asaba airport which is at its completion stages. The airport when completed will majorly boost economic activities in the State.

In the same light, there has been a major improvement in crime management which has improved life expectancy ratios in the State. For the first time we can boast of a positive Delta State with the affairs moving in the right direction. Dr.

Uduaghan has prominently been involved in resolving conflicts in a state that was wrecked by communal strife in the Warri area at the inception of the Ibori administration in 1999. He did play a prominent role in dousing the tension and ensuring

the peace and stability that now reign in the Warri area and the State in general.

Most recently, the apex bank at its fifth Annual Micro-finance Conference and Entrepreneur Awards holding in Abuja, gave the CBN Micro Credit Award 2010 to Governor Uduaghan for emerging the best of the States supporting micro-credit programmes with the Delta State Micro-Credit Programme(DMCP).

This marks the third consecutive year; the Federal Government through the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN has recognized Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan's strides in poverty reduction among the rural and urban poor.

Kudos and sustained support must be given to such a fine gentleman who has passion for a better Delta State as he approaches Deltans for a renewed mandate to consolidate on both his predecessors’ projects and his new projects for the State. Elders and youths of the state should throw full support for this Hero of Delta State.
