GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomohle of Edo State, yesterday, described as untrue and unfair, the allegation that he imposed candidates at the just concluded primaries of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the state, insisting that the result of the primary election, was a true reflection of the wish of majority of the party members.

The Governor, who also announced the cancellation of the primaries held in Esan Central Local Government Area of the state due to the violence, which  marred the primaries in the area, noted that though the exercise may not have been perfect in some areas but that the party leadership ensured that the people decided their candidates and not by selected party leaders.

Saying that it was unfortunate that some aspirants who lost at the primaries were attributing their failure to his alleged attempt to impose candidates, he insisted that no matter the feelings of many of the aspirants, his commitment to one man one vote was not negotiable, recalling that he had opposed godfathering when he asumed office and imposition of candidates, therefore, he could not have turn back to do the same to his party.
