OMOTOLA, GENEVIEVE, RITA, MERCY, JETA SET THE PACE FOR 2011

We learnt from a reliable source that she is talking with two Hollywood production houses and an international record label to promote her music career. She also plans to do more movies locally unlike last year when she stayed away from Asaba and Enugu producers.
'It does not mean that she is lowering her standards but she chose to do a bit more of local movies and entertain more of her fans', the source said. To cap it up , the actress who is doing a lot of charity work plans to do more in that direction.
Genevieve is another star to watch. Just like last year, many of Genevieve's colleagues will have to play catch-up as the single mother of one is not slowing down. Genny, we learnt has concluded plans to sign a deal to act with Idris Elba an Hollywood actor and she has also been appointed Luna Milk ambassador. To remain in top shape , she is said to have hit the gym with a plan to firm-up.
Rita Dominic is one A-list act who has been on and off the screen lately and has become more selective in the opportunities that come her way. Last year, she co-founded The Audrey Silva Company whose objective is to facilitate the development and production of ground breaking feature films, television series and documentaries about Africa's rich cultural, social and political history. The company has acquired three scripts and is negotiating for the 4th for shooting in 2011. The first is a romantic comedy with a setting in Abuja. Rita is looking forward to shooting Izu Ojukwu's film, Lion of 76 . The film promises to be a major project.
Like or hate Mercy Johnson, she is already making news in 2011 and if sources close to her new management company and PR firm are right, she will improve tremendously this year. The foremost actress who has signed-on a new PR firm, Bigsam Media, last week acquired a posh car and gave her Honda Accord to her father. She has also decided to follow the footsteps of Omotola, Genevieve and Rita who are very selective in their acting contracts.
