Malicious Publication Against Mr. President, Some Governors And My Humble Self

  I write to complain about a story on President Goodluck's Campaign funding published in Peoples Daily (Vol. 4 No. 88 Wednesday, January 5, 2011, p. 1 - 3), Vanguard (Vol. 25: No. 61273, Wednesday, January 5, 2011, p. 1 and p. 5)   and on the website of online news medium, Saharareporters .  

 
 
 
2.The publication alleges that, I wrote and 'signed' letters 'on behalf of His Excellency, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GCFR), to acknowledge with thanks the receipt of your mandatory financial contribution of N500m each to the Jonathan/Sambo Presidential Campaign Organisation.' The letters were purportedly written to the Governors of Bauchi, Benue , Cross River , Ebonyi, Katsina, and Ogun States , each of whom serves as the Zonal Coordinator for the Goodluck/Sambo Presidential Campaign Organisation.  

 
 
3.I have never written any such letter. I never, directly or indirectly, ever got, or, was ever involved in any Goodluck/Sambo Presidential Campaign funding matters or transactions with any one - Governors and all others alike. I therefore humbly invite you to take appropriate legal steps to bring the perpetrators to justice.
