Updated III:Our Exit Poll: Delta State Election; Still Too close To Call

**Emmanuel Uduaghan (PDP) defeated by (Ogboru) DPP In Okpe LGA. PDP polled 4059, while DPP polled 5,266

Update I: Delta Governorship election still too close to call.

Update: There are three local governments left in play in Delta election according to our exit poll. This is why we cannot call the election for a particular candidate. They have very large number of voters. Ughelli South, Ughelli North, and Isoko South. The first two are urhobo LGA's. Ogboru is expected to do well in these areas. But can he score enough to erase Uduaghan's lead?

There are 25 Local Government Areas in Delta State. At the last count, Emmanuel Uduaghan (PDP) has won in 13, while Great Ogboru has won in 8 according to our estimates, based on reports we have received from our team on the field.

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 06, (THEWILL) – Results so far from the Delta State Governorship election according to our exit poll show a clear race between former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan (PDP) and Chief Great Ogboru (DPP). Reports received from the field say the elections were relatively free and fair. In some areas, THEWILL gathered that a few persons were unable to vote because their names were not on the voters register. There were also reports of violence and ballot box snatching in the Warri axis.

So far, the PDP has won in Ika North East, Ika South, Aniocha South, Oshimili North, Ethiope West, Ndokwa East, Aniocha North, Warri North (PDP won overwhelmingly). PDP also wins all Ijaw local government areas, that is, Bomadi, Burutu, and Patani. Uduaghan won Patani Local Government with over 7, 000 votes. The PDP has also won in, Warri South and Warri South West.

Chief Great Ogboru has however won in Oshimili South, Ndokwa West, Isoko North, Ukwani, Ethiope East, Uvwie, Okpe and Udu.

THEWILL has just obtained results from Ika South based on our exit poll. PDP polled 5476 votes, while DPP polled 2760.

In Ukwani LGA, PDP polled 2, 248, while DPP polled 7,168. In Ika North East, PDP polled 14360, while DPP polled 2604.
