Benue SSG Killed In New Year Eve Auto Crash

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 01, (THEWILL) - Benue State Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Audu Achigili has been killed in a fatal car crash on his way to Otukpo from state capital Makurdi along Otukpo-Makurdi freeway, after attending a state function on New Year Eve.

THEWILL gathered that the SSG’s car was involved in a head-on collision with a commercial luxurious bus. His driver and two other persons in the vehicle however survived the crash.

“We are shocked beyond words at the news of the demise of the SSG," the State Commissioner for Information, Dr Dina Ochoga said, while confirming the demise of the top official.

Dr. Achigili was Commissioner for Water Resources in the George Akume administration and was appointed SSG at the inception of the administration of State Governor, Gabriel Suswan.
