FAYEMI ACCUSED OF PLOTS TO IMPLICATE ONI’S AIDES IN CRIMINAL CHARGES

Chief Media Aide to Chief Olusegun Oni, former governor of Ekiti State, Mr Wale OJo-Lanre has raised the alarm over an orchestrated plan by the judiciary installed Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governor of the State, Mr. Kayode Fayemi to witch-hunt, implicate and hound to jail some personal aides and associates of the former governor, using trumped-up charges.

According to Ojo-Lanre, who made this known in a release made available to journalists today, Fayemi had a dinner discussion a few days ago with his inner caucus where a strategy of 'backbone braking'

was formulated aimed solely at ensuring that prominent associates of Oni are “harassed, humiliated, intimidated , arraigned and possibly jailed on trumped up charges.”

He said Fayemi and his gang resorted to this “fall back” strategy after all attempt at concocting financial misconduct against Oni had failed.

Fayemi was said to have given specific order that a particular aide of the former governor should be criminally implicated and jailed “for his aggressiveness.”

“The public is hereby being notified of the evil plan of the judicial governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Kayode Fayemi and his ACN to do everything humanly and spiritually possible to bring former governor, Chief Segun Oni and the PDP into disrepute.

“From the news circulated by the ACN government yesterday on the arrest of some robbery suspects and the 'confession' of the suspect that it was the weapon provided for them by Oni though one of his aides that they were using to rob, no one should be in doubt that the operation has commenced in full gear.

“We are aware that the leader of the robbery gang is being tele-guided in a phony statement to implicate Mr. Bunmi Ojo, Personal Assistant to Chief. Segun Oni. And in matter of days, names of other aides of the former governor, already pencilled down 'to be taken out of circulation, are going to be added to surface in the suspect's statements or other trump-up charges.

“Some of the aides, particularly those in the media team include my good self, Lere Olayinka, Joseph Ogunsemi and Kola Igandan.

“Others are PDP chieftains like the State Coordinator of Goodluck/Sambo Campaign Council, Chief Femi Akinyemi, Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Lekan Adekanbi, former Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Chief Kunle Ogunlade, former Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prince Dayo Adeyeye among others,” Ojo-Lanre alleged.

While warning the police and other security agencies in the State not to allow themselves to be used by the Fayemi-led government as agents of political vendetta, Ojo-Lanre said; “From the antecedents of Fayemi and his ACN, no one should be in doubt as to the level they can go to achieve whatever is their objective.

“They paid Peter Oladosu (Erinmoje) to lie at the tribunal that it was some PDP leaders that paid him to burn the Ido-Osi INEC office only to reward the same Erinmoje with an appointment as the Chief Security Officer to the monarch of Isan-Ekiti, Fayemi's hometown. Tomorrow, we won't also surprised too if, after his release from police custody, the robbery suspect is rewarded with an appointment by Fayemi.“
