An international summit aimed at ensuring that the results of research efforts are well communicated to policy makers has been slated for Abuja.

The summit, jointly organised by the African Population and Health Research Centre, based in Nairobi, Kenya and the University of Nigeria Nsukka, will commence on December 13.

According to the head of Policy Engagement and Communication at the Nairobi-based APHRC, Prof. Charles Okigbo, 'This summit is designed to show researchers, research communicators and other relevant professionals how to take advantage of available research results to leverage public policy making and advocacy efforts aimed at promoting enlightened decision making grounded on research evidence.'
