Public Rejoinder:To an unreferenced petition dated 22/11/2010 to the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by an apparently non-existent contraption styled as the Delta State elders leaders and stakeholders forum.

The attention of Davnotch Nigeria Limited has been drawn to an alleged petition dated 22/11/2010 purportedly authored by a self acclaimed body that parades itself as Delta State Elders, Leaders and Stakeholders Forum and posted on your website.

  2. Indeed, we do not intend to join issues with this amorphous body, except to state clearly that the contents of the said petition are a combination of blatant falsehoods and deceits concocted and contorted for political purposes and electoral intimidation.

  3. Accordingly, the management of Davnotch Nigeria Limited hereinafter referred to as 'the Company' states as follows, that:

  (a) It is a highly responsible company that upholds the tenets of hardwork, integrity, and always provides value for all jobs it has executed. Perhaps these sterling qualities of the Company are what endears its patronage by government institutions, companies and private individuals.

  (b) In any contract it has so far executed for the Delta State Government, it has tenaciously and meticulously followed due process including all the vigorous and transparent bidding processes.

  (c) It has NEVER AND WILL NEVER do any shoddy job let alone involve itself in the execution of sub-standard jobs.

  (d) All the contracts, activities and jobs of the Company are well documented and legally augmented for its records and posterity in accordance with best practices obtainable in the business world.

  (e) The power plant project at Oghara or anywhere in Delta State are in progression and still within the terms as well as time frame of the Agreement of the parties.

  (f) As ironically noted even in the politically induced petition, the building          of such gigantic power project is not a day's job. It involves very intricate processes of engineering, procurement and construction including the very huge challenges of fabrication to meet specifications as well as other peculiarities as required in these very technical jobs.

  (g) The Company is still within the time frame given to it by the Agreement to effect and complete the job in the phases appearing therein.

4.Flowing from the above therefore, the Company is not desirous as expected from these vainglorious traducers to delve into the murky waters of politicization of a very complex engineering Contract for which it is patently qualified to thoroughly execute for the benefit of the peace loving and good people of Delta State as evinced by Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan's laudable programme on Independent Power Generation.

5.We therefore advise these hirelings that rather than engage in myopic short cuts of petition writing as a tool for electoral victory, the petitioners (if they even exist) as a body should get 'prepared' like the motto of the boys scout, for the 'Re-run' elections as ordered by the Court on 9 th November   2010.

6.Interestingly, it is not unexpected, that since one of our shareholders is a very humble and widely respected politician, these kind of obnoxious petitions will be flying aimlessly around as the 2011 elections draw near as in this case.

7.It is on this note that the Company dismisses with a wave of hand as spurious, baseless and vexatious, the ill informed, inaccurate and severely deceptive contents of the said petition.

8.Consequently, the general public and good people of Delta State are respectfully strongly advised to ignore and discard the said petition in its entirety as the company shall in due course and at the appropriate forum join issues with them, if they truly exist as a 'group of people' or it is merely the manipulation of a 'one man show' being propelled by our so- called elder statesman who is now engaging in ignoble acts of 'Adult Restiveness' at a time that he is expected to play the role of the father of all!
