N'KOREA OFFERS ASSISTANCE TO NIGER

By NBF News

Ambassador of North Korea to Nigeria, Jung Hak Se, on Tuesday offered technical partnership to the Niger State Government in the areas of health, communication and mineral resources.

The ambassador, who made the offer in Minna, the state capital, to Niger State Governor, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, said the pact would include the development of infrastructure in the state.

He said the gesture was borne out of North Korea's foreign policy of enhancing her bilateral relations by giving technical aid to African countries, including Nigeria.

Through the partnership, he said, the state would make economic progress by leveraging the experience of the Asian country.

To facilitate the partnership, he implored Aliyu to visit his country in order to explore other areas of economic development that could be included in the agreement.

Aliyu disclosed that the Memorandum of Understanding, which was being worked out, would be signed in two weeks to expedite the process.
