ATIKU CONDOLES WITH IBB
Former Vice President and presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has condoled with former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida over the death of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Asabe Muhammed King, who died in Cairo, Egypt at the age of 88.
In a statement by his campaign organisation in Abuja, the presidential aspirant said the death of Hajiya Asabe King was a great shock to him and his family, coming barely a year after the demise of his daughter and wife of Babangida, Maryam
Describing the late Asabe as an exemplary mother, who was a role model to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, the former vice president noted that living to the age of 88 was the crowning moment of a woman's life journey.
According to him, the best tribute Hajiya Asabe King's offspring could pay to her is to live by her virtues of humility, compassion and kindness. The former vice president prayed to God to forgive the frailties of the deceased and reward her with paradise.
