EZEUGO SUPPORTS SIASIA ON KALIKA

By NBF News

Former international Emeka Ezeugo has backed Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia's decision to pick Dutchman Simon Kalika as his assistant.

'Siasia has been working with Kalika for some years now so that should count for something. I want to believe Siasia is comfortable with Kalika and that should explain why both of them are always working together. No one should blame Siasia for selecting him,' Ezeugo told SuperSport.com on Thursday.

The former Eagles utility player expressed shock at the N5m monthly salary for Siasia, saying his former teammate deserves more.

'We paid (Lars) Lagerback much more than that so I think it is an insult to pay Siasia five million naira. It's a slap to the face. The least Siasia should receive as monthly salary is N30m but then that is how it is. We seem to value foreigners more than we do our own in this country,' he said.
