By NBF News

Water vendors in the Federal Capital territory (FCT) are making brisk business as dry season sets in.Some of the vendors who spoke to our reporter in Nyanya, said they are making good profits due to high demand for water by residents.

One of the vendors Mallam Jafar, said water business is flourishing in the city, especially now that the rainy season is over.'I have been able to save a lot of money since I came back from the village, after taking a break during the rainy season to go and farm,' he said

He said they usually buy a 20 - litre jerry can of water for N10 and sell it between N20 and N30, adding that he makes profit of between N2, 000 and N3, 000 daily.

Another water vendor who only gave his name as Jimoh said the demand for water is high because most of the venders who travelled home for farming are not yet back.

He said the only problem they have is about borehole owners not opening on time in the morning, saying the demand for water is always high in the morning.
