San Francisco, Nov 10, (THEWILL) - Delta State former Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has not been arrested contrary to rumours being peddled in an online publication that he has been arrested in Calabar, Cross River State, THEWILL can authoritatively report.

THEWILL checks in the state capital revealed that Uduaghan who was removed as chief executive of the state via a Tuesday evening judgement by a Benin-City Court of Appeal has however been meeting with top government officials in the state at the VIP Guest House facility in Government House.

The former Governor has however travelled to Abuja by road to meet with party chieftains.

The State Security Service (SSS) has also denied that the former Governor has been arrested.

The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Honourable Sam Obi, who is expected to assume office as acting Governor has not been sworn in because the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Roseline Bozimo has requested to see the judgement of the court before Sam Obi is sworn in as Governor.

THEWILL reporter in Asaba reports that the state capital has been calm and peaceful following the former Governor's sack.
