Shekarau Will Pursue Presidential Ambition To Logical End – Shekarau Campaign

KANO, Nov 03, (THEWILL) - The Ibrahim Shekarau Presidential Campaign Organization has said that the Kano State Governor is 100 percent committed to pursuing his presidential ambition on the platform of the All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP). The campaign organization was reacting to news reports that the aspirant had opted to run for a senate seat.

According to a press statement signed by Campaign Director General, Mr. Khaleel Bolaji and made available to THEWILL in Kano earlier today, the organization said that considering the caliber of people that attended Shekarau’s presidential declaration event, it is ridiculous to think he would opt out of the race.

“Mallam Shekarau has never contemplated vying for the Senate or any other seat apart from the presidential ticket he seeks on the platform of his party, ANPP; and Mallam Shekarau has never discussed a Senate or any other seat with anyone in the distant or recent past, in private or in public,” the statement said.
