Oni’s Aide Submit Reps Nomination Form

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ekiti State on Development Planning, Mr. Yemi Akinbode has joined the growing list of those gunning for a seat in the lower chamber of the National Assembly in the next year general elections.


Akinbode, who submitted his nomination form for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary elections, said he was in the race to bridge the gap between the old and new generation politicians in the State and better the lots of the masses.


He said having paid his dues politically; he was now prepared to contribute his quota to the development of Ekiti State through quality representation at the lower chamber of the National Assembly.


Akinbode, who was accompanied to the PDP Secretariat along Akure Road by leaders of the party and his campaign coordinators from all the 24 wards in Ado and Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Governments Areas said his campaign had taken Ekiti State by storm in contents and character.


“We deliberately tagged our campaign tagged Instrument for Change because we are of the view that time has indeed come for a change in the representation of Ekiti in the National Assembly.


“Ekiti is blessed with human resources that cannot be found in most of the States in the country. Therefore, we must be able to prove this by making sure that only our firts eleven get to represent us in the National Assembly,” he said.


He assured the people of Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1, that he would provide purposeful and responsive representation in the National Assembly.


In his response, the Vice Chairman of the Party Hon. Olatunde Adetifa expressed his pleasure in the manner the aspirant and his teaming supporters are conducting themselves in caring out their electioneering campaign in their State.


Speaking on behalf of the State Chairman, Rt. Bola Olu-Ojo; Hon Adetifa implored all PDP aspirants to ensure that their campaign is based on issues rather than personalities.
