Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has attributed his emergence as Governor of the state to the will of God towards improving the lots of the people.

Speaking while receiving the General Overseer of Christ Living Spring Apostolic Church (CLAM), Prophet Wole Oladiyun who paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Ado Ekiti, Governor Fayemi said he believed that the recovery of the mandate that was freely given to him by the people of the state from usurpers could not have been possible without the power of God.

Dr. Fayemi added that it was the desire of God to have responsible, committed and Godly people that would govern the people with the fear of God, stressing that he would not stray from the tenets of God in the task of taking the state to greater heights.

“We are not in government because we want to become angels of darkness. We are in this because we believe that our God wants to use us to make a difference in the lives of our people and it is Him we must give all glory”, he said. The Governor however solicited the continued support and prayers of men of God towards ensuring success of his administration.

Earlier, the General Overseer of CLAM, Prophet Wole Olaniyun who was in the state for a 3-day crusade tagged “Ekiti Restoration Crusade” had advised Governor Fayemi to make the fear of God his maxim, stressing the need to be steadfast with God who installed him as Governor of the state.

Advising Governor Fayemi to embark on rural development and Independent Power Generation, the Clergyman prophesied that the people would begin to enjoy abundant mineral resources that God had deposited in the state.
