Few weeks after he was busted by the University of Abuja authorities for examination malpractices, Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP), Tunde Ogunshakin has been expelled from the Gwagwalada based university.

Sources at the university told Pointblanknews.com at the weekend that the decision was reached after extensive investigation of Ogunshakin's records at Law faculty.

It was also learnt that some lecturers and students in the institution may also have been implicated in the scandal.

Ogunshakin was sacked from the Economic and Financial Crimes CoMmission(EFCC), as Director of Operations, when records linked him with exam fraud.

He was alleged to have paid a 500 level student, Bright Edodo, to write his law equity exam (Law 403).

While Ogunshakin who has been angling to return to the EFCC, was deployed to the Force Headquarters, the university launched an investigation.

It was learnt that Ogunshakin dished out huge sum of cash to stall the investigation and imminent expulsion which could jeopardise his return to the EFCC.

But unknown to him, a lecturer in the department, Larry Chukwu testified against him.

After going through his records with a tooth comb, testimonies of witnesses plus attendance, it was established that Ogunshakin was seldom in class, was neck deep in the malpractice and hired "agents" to write his exams and continous assessments.

It was however not clear if the recent development would affect his career as a police man , since the police had consistently looked the other way.
