Brass LNG Stakeholders Reassure on Gas Supply to Project

  The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Engr. Oniwon has reassured the shareholders of Brass LNG project of the Federal Government's commitment to the successful completion of the objectives of the project.

He made this known during the Brass LNG Gas Supply meeting between all its partners at the NNPC Towers, Abuja.

The NNPC helmsman called for concerted efforts of all shareholders to ensure the speedy realization of the project within the shortest possible time and expressed optimism that the meeting of all the shareholders would fast track the Final Investment Decision, assuring that the NNPC was ready to meet its funding obligations to the project.

"I want to reassure all the stakeholders that the Brass LNG project will be delivered and that the Federal Government is committed to the project in any way possible to realize the objectives of the project," Engr. Oniwon averred.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of Brass LNG, Engr. Jackson Gaius Obaseki commended the NNPC for the priority placed on the Brass LNG project and revealed that shareholders have resolved to run the project commercially in order to add value to the Country.

He emphasized that the Brass LNG project is robust and has reached the stage where it cannot be stopped as a lot of money, time and energy have been committed to the project by both shareholders and gas suppliers.

The Brass Gas Supply meeting was attended by all the partner companies including Total, Chevron and Shell .
