The Ancient Greeks had figured out a secret that we in today’s world struggle with, and this is captured in two just words “Know thyself!”.

A unique selling point refers to the unique value that a person or brand delivers that serves as their competitive edge. Every brand has it. Every personality owns it. Every human possesses it: the USP.

Yours truly is of the strong belief that when we listen closely enough, life is always teaching a lesson.A lesson of who we are and how we have faired in strengths and weaknesses. Our Unique Selling Point is about the strength, a unique strength.

Consequently, humans are on a journey to learn as much as they can about life, about people, about truth and most importantly about ourselves. The way we talk, the manner we work or walk, the mode of our gesture, how we organize things or dress, the way we observe, write, socialize, listen or package ourselves positions each of us for our USP.

One of the most influential psychologists and philosophers of time, Carl Jung was curious about this Philosophy and said that “If you never let the unconscious become conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”.

From quite a young age, I had wondered what was "special" about me? . I had asked myself " what was my gift?" It became clearer to me at a point that I did not possess any dazzling quality, as there were always people better than I was, taller than I, more creative, smarter than I was and so I had thought I would be an average person forever.

This however changed when I started asking the right questions and looking for answers in the right places.

I soon realised that while I wasn't as naturally gifted as some of my peers, I somehow managed to get ahead of people who needed half the time I took to complete the same tasks. I found my unique selling point.

Then it dawned on me that "my gift" was my ability to give anything whatever it took. More time, more energy, more commitment!

My unique selling point was that in a generation of people filled with talent and no work ethic, I have the ability to stay in the game long after motivation wanes, after hype settles and when reality sets in.
