Director General of the IBB Presidential Campaign Organization and owner of AIT/Ray Power, Chief Raymond Dokpesi has been arrested by State Security Service, SSS, in connection with the October 1, 2010 bombing that killed more than eight person.

Pointblanknews.com sources hinted that intelligence officers have alleged a link between one of the suspects in police custody with Dopkesi.

According to one of the sources who would not want to be named, the officers who quizzed Dopkesi found some suspicious text messages between Dopkesi and one of the suspects.

The Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND, had claimed responsibility for the bombing and its leader, Mr Henry Okah is currently facing charges bordering on terrorism in South Africa. But President Goodluck Jonathan said the October 1 bombing was an act of terrorism, hinting that the Goverment has security report linking those behind the attack.

Details on the arrest of Dokpesi is not yet know as at press time but supporters of General Ibrahim Babangida are already accusing President Goodluck Jonathan of using the bomb attack to witch-hunt political rivals.

A supporter of General Babangida who does not want to be named told Pointblanknews.com that "they are just targeting the President's opponent."

Details coming.
