24-Year-Old Man Beats 80-yr-old Dad To Death During Altercation In Altercation

A 24-year-old man, identified as Liman Muhammad Baba, has been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly killing his 80-year-old father, Malam Baba Siti.
The police said the incident occurred on Thursday at around 10:30pm in Uzum village in the Giade Local Government Area of the state following a violent altercation.
According to the police in a statement on Saturday by the Command's spokesperson SP Mohammed Wakil, the suspect struck his father on the head with a stick, causing fatal injuries.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, adding that the suspect was arrested at the scene and is currently in police custody.
“The police in Giade Division received a distress call from a resident, detectives from the division promptly visited the scene and found the victim lying in a pool of blood.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect struck his father on the head with a stick, causing him to collapse and die on the spot,” Wakil said.
The police spokesperson, SP Mohammed Wakil, stated that a thorough investigation is ongoing, and the suspect would be charged to court once the investigation was concluded.
The case highlights the tragic consequences of domestic conflicts and the importance of resolving disputes peacefully.
