BASKETMOUTH HOSTS EDITION OF LORD OF THE RIBS

On the 10th of October (10th month of year) 2010, Bright Okpocha (aka Basket Mouth) will host the first edition of his new comedy show, The Lords of the Ribs. And to make the event much than an entertainment event, Coca-Cola will be giving out a million naira to one lucky winner.

The event, which will be held at the deluxe, 5000-seater Expo Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos will be featuring an array of stars which will include 10 Nigerian musicians, 10 home-grown comedians and 10 foreign comedians from South Africa, US and Britain.

Explaining the motive behind the concert, Basketmouth explains, 'We want to do something different; something that has not been done in the history of standup comedy in Nigeria'.

Speaking further, Bright said, 'one lucky person will win N1 million, courtesy Coca-Cola in celebration of their Open for Happiness Promo. For every person in attendance, a bottle of Coca-Cola will be given out, and the code to win is in the cork'.

Earlier in the year, the award-winning comedian rocked the city of London where he staged the first edition of Lord of The Ribs. Basketmouth became the second black comedian in the history of the prestigious 02 Arena Hall to have a sold out show. The 2,500-capacity hall was filled to the brim. Later in the year, he travelled round the world, touching the US, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana and rubbed shoulders with comedy greats like Mel Miller and Chris James.
