N2.3BN FRAUD: OGBULAFOR'S APPLICATION FOR SEPT. 20

By NBF News

An Abuja High Court on Wednesday fixed September 20 for the hearing of an application filed by the former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Vincent Ogbulafor, seeking to quash the criminal charges filed against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.

Ogbulafor contended that the proof of evidence tendered against him by the ICPC failed to establish a prima-facie case or an incriminating nexus linking him and his co-accused to the alleged crime.

Justice Ishaq Bello adjourned the matter till September 20 and ordered all the parties in the suit to ensure that their written arguments were ready for adoption on that date.

However, the anti-graft agency has filed a counter-affidavit, challenging the application.
