AFRICA RETAIL INTRODUCES MORE E-PAYMENT SOLUTIONS

Africa Retail United Kingdom Limited has created a direct interface between African consumers and major e-Payment brands in Nigeria to enable African customers to pay for products in local currencies.

The company said for Nigeria, e-Payment brands like InterSwitch, eTranzact, Visa and mobile payment solutions like iMobile and AccessMobile, and cash, were options open to businesses and individuals.

Speaking at the second shoppers' event that was organised by Exporters' Oasis Limited, which is the official country representative of Africa Retail UK in Nigeria, the Chief Executive Officer, Exporters' Oasis, Mr. Abimbola Oludare, said African customers would now be able to access products and services offered by major online retail brands in the world.

These brands, he added, include Marks and Spencer, john Lewis, Comet, JD Sports, Debenhams, Priceless shoes, Barrats, H. Samuel, PC World, Toys R US, Sport Kitbag, Mothercare, Apple Store, Next, TM Lewin, Currys, Boots, B & Q, Borders, Evans and Hamleys.

According to Oludare, 'The greatest value the customer derives from the AfricaRetail web portal, www.africaretail.com, is the ability to exercise choice without restrictions of traditional shopping boundaries. The platform offers a huge variety of products, flexible payment options, access to specialist items, of which consumers can now take advantage of exclusive deals, special offers and seasonal promotions.'

The Exporters' Oasis boss explained that there was a recent technological upgrade to the company's state of the art Enterprise Resource Platforms, and a recent high tech to the latest in Customer Relationship Management and Business Intelligence solution.
