The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria on Tuesday urged the National Assembly to urgently pass the Petroleum Industry Bill pending before it.

The Chairman, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mosinmi Chapter of IPMAN, Alhaji Adebisi Bada, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that this would form part of the regulatory framework for energy development in the country.

Bada also urged the Federal Government to encourage private participation in research and development activities through favourable tax incentives and monetary policies.

He said that the incentives would encourage compliance with the regulatory framework for energy development in the petroleum industry.

He implored stakeholders to form 'value-driven' partnerships so as to attract the right investors.
