Peter Odili As IBB's Running Mate

ABUJA, Sept 14, (THEWILL) - Indications emerged Tuesday morning that former military Dictator, Ibrahim Babangida, may likely choose Dr. Peter Odili, a former Rivers State Governor, as his running mate in next year’s presidential elections.

THEWILL learnt from a source close to the embattled Director General of IBB Campaign Organisation, Chief Raymond Dokpesi that Odili’s choice may have been greatly influenced by Dokpesi who has over the years benefitted from the largess of Dr. Odili when he was Governor and this is seen as a payback time.

The choice, according our source is antithetical as both Babangida and Odili are known to be controversial figures with several allegations hanging on their necks and remain unsettled. Both Babangida and Odili are known to be violators of human rights when the duo held sway as Chief Security officers at state and federal government levels respectively.

Babangda is billed to formally declare his presidential ambition and agenda and possibly announce Dr. Odili as his running mate at the Eagle Square in Abuja on Wednesday which coincides with PDP emergency NEC.
