In her latest endeavor, Raquel launched the Beyond Her Odds (BHO) initiative, a year-long project aimed at empowering girls to overcome the challenges they face and rewrite their stories. As part of this initiative, Raquel designed an educational board game called "Go Girl." The game is specifically tailored to teach girls about their rights in an engaging and interactive way, making learning a fun experience while promoting awareness about gender equality and self-advocacy. The board game is a tool that not only educates but also encourages girls to become active participants in conversations about their rights and future.
Raquel's work with BTCF extends beyond advocacy; it is about creating sustainable change. The foundation implements programs that address the holistic needs of children, from education and hygiene to emotional and social support. BTCF’s projects such as Project Red Robots, which focuses on menstrual hygiene education, and Squeaky Clean, a hygiene-focused program, have all been pivotal in improving the well-being of children in underserved communities.
The "Go Girl" board game is just one example of Raquel's commitment to innovative education. By using play as a medium for learning, she ensures that the message of girls' empowerment reaches young minds in a relatable and impactful manner.
Through her foundation, Raquel Kasham Daniel continues to champion the cause of child rights, empower girls, and drive forward the agenda for equitable access to education and opportunities for all children.
