ABUJA, Sept 09, (THEWILL) - President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed displeasure with the crisis rocking the Ogun State House of Assembly.

Jonathan who summoned the Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the G-15 led by the Speaker, Tunji Egbetokun and G-9 led by Emmanuel Soyemi Coker to Abuja was said to have scolded the governor and the minority lawmakers at a meeting he had with the angry parties.

A source close to the meeting told THEWILL that Jonathan was angered following the ‘Motor Park’ impeachment that he scolded Governor Daniel and the lawmakers who are members of the G-9 in the House.

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) bigwigs who were also present at the meeting expressed utter disappointment on the purported impeachment which they said had put the party in disrepute both in the state and the national level.

According to THEWILL source, the President pointed accusing fingers at the Governor for encouraging the ‘impeachment’ stressing that he should have disallowed the ‘show of shame’ as the chief security officer of the state.

Governor Daniel however blamed the Coker-led group of 9(G-9) and denied knowledge of the impeachment which shocked members of the group.

President Jonathan was said to have recommended that the ‘impeachment’ be to reversed so as to return to status quo, which he said would guarantee an amicable resolution.

Daniel however canvassed that he needed an assurance from the G-15 that they would not suspend the G-9 members after the problem is finally settled.

The G-9 shocked the whole nation when on Monday the minority in the State Assembly impeached the majority.
