Which Is More Important In Life: Knowledge Or Wisdom?
Knowledge and wisdom are two different entities that can both make one's life meaningful if well understood and implemented.
Knowledge can be easily acquired through extensive learning, either theoretically or from personal experiences. Wisdom, on the other hand, is a gift from God, granted to those He chooses to either succeed or fail in life according to their destiny.
Knowledge is being aware that there is a difference between patience and wasting time. Wisdom is knowing which of these is happening during a period of waiting. Knowledge is understanding that pride is a positive trait and arrogance is a negative one. Wisdom is being able to recognize pride and arrogance in yourself and others, and being self-aware enough to know if you are proud or arrogant in your interactions.
Knowledge involves the ability to differentiate between emotions and logic and to foresee the possible outcomes of actions based on emotions or logic, whether they are positive or negative.
Wisdom is the understanding of when to let emotions or logic influence one's actions in their professional or personal relationships. For example, should you react emotionally by shouting back at your partner or friend when they have upset you, or should you logically understand that they are also tense at the moment?
You can read numerous books on achieving success in the world and still fail in life because you may not be certain of when and how to apply each lesson appropriately in your life.
A knowledgeable person may not be wise, but a wise person already has sufficient knowledge with proper implementation for a successful life. My advice is that we all seek valuable knowledge and pray to God for divine wisdom.
