Wife Of Niger Deputy Governor Is Dead

Hajiya Zainab Garba, the wife of Niger State Deputy Governor, Yakubu Garba, has reportedly passed on.

The deceased was said to have died at a hospital in Minna on Tuesday after a brief illness.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of the State, in a condolence message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, expressed sadness over the death, describing it as a great loss to the State.

Bago prayed Allah to grant her Aljanatul firdaus and give the husband the fortitude to bear the loss.

He said it was indeed devastating news and a trying moment not only for his Deputy but the government and the entire people of the State.

The Governor, while commiserating with his Deputy over the loss, encouraged him to see the demise of his wife as an act of Allah, and be consoled by the fact that the deceased lived a good life.

He said the State Executive Council share in his loss and will provide every needed support at this moment of grief.

The farmer Governor then prayed to Allah to forgive all the shortcomings of the deceased and grant her Aljanna Firdausi.

He also prayed that Allah will comfort his Deputy, and all Niger State residents.
