Emir Of Kano Pledges Support For BUK

KANO, Sept 02, (THEWILL) - The emir of Kano, Alhaji (Dr.) Ado Bayero has assured the newly appointed Vice Chancellor, Bayero University Kano (BUK) of support in every way possible to ensure the institution competes with international universities.

The emir gave this assurance while receiving the new Vice Chancellor, Professor Abubakar Rasheed who was at the palace to introduce himself as the Vice Chancellor of the university.

Alhaji Bayero who expressed delight over the appointment said his council would not relent in its continued support for the institution.

He called on the management of the university and student to enhance educational development of the institution.

Speaking earlier, the Professor Rasheed said he was at the palace to formally intimate the Emir of his appointment.
