MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT, CLERIC URGES ELECTORATE

By NBF News

The President, Men of Purpose Ministry, Pastor Akin Akande, has urged Nigerians to participate actively in the 2011 electoral processes to elect good leaders. He said that it was sad that the country was yet to attain the required development, 50 years after independence and urged electorates to ensure that their votes count.

He also said zoning or ethnic origin should not be a consideration in the choice of leaders, adding that Godliness, good pedigree and ability and willingness to render selfless service to the people should be criteria for the choice of leaders.

Speaking during the organisation's 14th annual purpose conference media briefing in Lagos on Wednesday, he urged the government not to relent in its resolve to find a lasting solution to the perennial epileptic power situation in the country.

He said the church would during the conference hold seminars, prophetic and motivational teachings and expose to participants to self development and wealth creation strategies that would positively impact on the nation and their individual lives.
