EX MILITANT LEADER, SOBOMA GEORGE FEARED KILLED

Repentant militant leader, Soboma George has been feared killed.

Unofficial sources, said the former dreaded militant was cut down in a shoot-out during a football practice on Tuesday evening in Port Harcourt.

An unidentified man, who was also at the scene of the incident also sustained serious gunshot wounds and is lying critically ill in an undisclosed hospital. It was learnt that George and others were engaged in a local football practice at the Borokiri area of Port Harcourt main town, when the shooting incident occurred. The cause of the shoot-out and the people involved were yet to be ascertained as at press time.

When contacted, police spokesman in the state, Dr. Rita Inoma-Abey told Daily Sun that although she was aware of the shooting incident, she could not confirm if George was the casualty.
