Management Denies Attack On Danfodiyo University

The Usman Danfodio University situated Sokoto State has refuted a news report that its main campus was attacked by bandits.

Isma’il Muhammad Yauri, the university’s Public Relations Officer, in a statement, said the school has not experienced any attack by gunmen.

He urged members of the public to ignore the report, saying it was false and malicious.

“The truth is that Dundayen Bakin Gulbi village where the gunmen visited does not share the same community with the Usman Danfodio University.

“The village is about two kilometres away from the university, therefore an attack on the village cannot be said to be an attack on the university,” the statement said.
