OCEAN BOYS CLUB KICKS OUT 17 PLAYERS

The management of Ocean Boys FC of Brass, Bayelsa State, has wielded a big stick as it has offloaded 17 players to the transfer market.

In the same vein, 15 lucky players have been retained by the Brass-based football side, that is planning big ahead of the new league season.

As part of its concerted preparations towards a successful 2010/2011 league season, the management has concluded arrangements to camp players in Lagos State.

The 2008 Challenge Cup winner would camp at Epe in the state for three weeks before they return to Brass ahead of their league opener against Enyimba International FC of Aba.

Meanwhile, the club is set to roll out red carpets to celebrate its nine years of existence in the Nigerian premier league on September 9, 2010. Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Alison Madueke, is expected to be the special guest of honour on the occasion.

Ocean Boys, a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian Premier League is targeting to raise N100 million from the much awaited celebrities.
