Asiko Group Unveils New 300MT LPG Plant In Edo
As a provider of clean energy solutions, Asiko Group has unveiled 300 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas and compressed natural gas in Edo State.
According to a statement on Sunday, the firm disclosed that the project located at Utesi, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state, aligned with the Federal Government’s priority objective to attain five million MT of LPG consumption by 2023.
It stated that the firm had continued to contribute to the economic development of the country with its sterling efforts to ensure in-country utilisation and deepening of gas penetration in the nation.
While speaking at the official commissioning of the gas depot, the Chairman of the Asiko Group, Alex Ogedegbe, noted the enormous gas potential in Nigeria, and the LPG/CNG depot was designed to provide the needed energy solution to Nigeria and beyond.
According to him, “Today, we are excited to launch our 300MT LPG and CNG depot. The multi-product gas depot, promises to improve gas availability and distribution in the region. The LPG/CNG depot is poised to become a hub for a wide range of gas products.
“Under its licensing agreement, the depot is authorised to store propane, LPG, CNG, and liquefied natural gas. Currently, it stores LPG and CNG, with plans for future development to enable the storage of LNG in the near future.”
