AHRC Congratulates NAYA for the Grand Opening of its Behavioral andHuman Services Community Center
The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) extends its warm congratulations to the National Association of Yemeni Americans (NAYA) for the grand opening of its behavioral health and human services center in the city of Hamtramck. The center is located at 11521 Joseph Campeau.
The open house ceremony was held on Friday, June 30, 2023, with the presence of elected officials, civic and faith leaders, State Rep., and Assistant Democratic Floor Leader Abraham Aiyash; State Senator Stephine Change, State Senator; State Rep. Jimmie Wilson Jr., Dr. Amir Ghalib, Mayor of Hamtramck, Mr. Mohammed Hassan Mayor Pro-Tim,, and City of Hamtramck Council Members Mr. Mohamed Alsomiri and Mr. Nayeem Choudhury were among the dignitaries who attended and made great contributions to make the center a reality.
The new and the first of its kind neighborhood service facility and service center in Hamtramck is also a shared space and location to both Rep. Aiyash & Senator Chang. The goal is to provide a full range of services as one stop shop to those in need within the city of Hamtramck and its diverse population. AHRC salutes NAYA team for setting up this center during momentous challenges facing our society.
One prime important service here is behavioral health. Mental health is a rapidly growing challenge facing so many. The NAYA center is a new addition to help those impacted by mental health crisis. The center will be open to serve anyone who seeks its services.
“The opening of our third office in Hamtramck has been a long-time goal.” said Dr. Abdulhakim Alsadah, President and CEO of NAYA. “NAYA’s Behavioral Health and Human Services center is a one stop shop community service center providing a multitude of Behavior Health services to suit our diverse populations needs with no preference or discrimination” added Dr. Alsadah. “There is a tremendous need for the services we provide” concluded Dr. Alsadah.
“This is a very valuable contribution to the wellbeing of our society,” said Dr. Saleh Muslah, AHRC Board President. “This country has a mental health crisis, and this center is part of the solution,” added Muslah.
“This center is a welcome addition to the family of institutions and centers in the city of Hamtramck that serve all the people of Hamtramck,” said Imad Hamad, AHRC Executive Director. “This one stop shop facility is an invaluable investment in the wellbeing of the people of Hamtramck and others,” added Hamad.
