By Daniel Elombah

Members of the Transform Nigeria Movement (TNM), a global body of Nigerians committed to change and good governance, this afternoon in Abuja submitted a petition to the EFCC asking the anti-graft body to investigate “uncontradicted reports that in addition to the regular and legitimate salaries and allowances of N17 million and N14.99 million which members of the National Assembly (Senators and Representatives) were collecting yearly and the irregular allowance of estacodes, duty tours etc, they were also collecting N192m and N140m respectively in illegal quarterly allocation which is not provided for by the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC".

The TNM members led by their Abuja Coordinators, Mr Kayode Ajulo and Mr Law Mefor were received by the Director of Operations, Mr. Steve Otitoju representing Mrs. farida Waziri who is out of the Country, Alhaji A. Jimoh, the Head of Operations and other top echelon of the Commission.

After a short speech by Kayode Ajulo in which highlighted our mission, in response, Mr. Otitoju assured us that the petition will be considered as the Commission has powers to look into any allegations of financial crimes, he also assured us they are blessed with committed personnel to prosecute the case whenever it becomes necessary.
