THE MAN, IKHAZOBOH

Mr. Emmanuel Ikhazoboh has been named the new Director General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Ikhazoboh, who until his new appointment was the Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte West and Central Africa succeeded Professor Ndi Okereke-Onyuike who was sacked on Tuesday.

He joined Akintola Williams Deloitte as Senior Audit Assistant in 1975 and in 1982 and 1990 was admitted as partner and Senior Partner respectively. He received his first degree in Accountancy and Finance from Yaba College of Technology and MBA, Finance and Management from Manchester Business School and he is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).

He has since built an impressive record through a variety of leadership roles including Managing Partner of Deloitte & Touche Cote d'Ivoire in 1988 and Lead Client Service Partner of Audit engagements of major Clients such as Africa Development Bank (ADB), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), African Export and Import Bank (AFREXIM), ECOWAS Fund, OANDO Nigeria PLC, United Bank of Africa PLC (UBA), Associated Discount House Limited, Bouygues Nigeria Limited, and Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc. He is a Senior Partner with over 30 years of experience in Auditing, Consulting and Financial Advisory Services and has been responsible for our Financial Institutions Industry.
