Lagos Gubernatorial Poll: Oby Ezekwesili Goes Spiritual Against Tinubu’s Presidency

By Damilare Adeleye

A former minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has decried reported activities of thugs in the ongoing governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections in Lagos State.

Ezekwesili accused supporters of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of orchestrating the criminal attacks in various polling stations in the State.

According to media reports, the Saturday gubernatorial poll was marred by high level of violence and intimidation.

Ezekwesili, who has served Nigeria in different capacities, was however concerned that Nigerians may witness more reckless and total disregard of rule of law if Tinubu is sworn in as President.

She wrote on her Twitter page: “The mayhem @officialABAT and his criminal enterprise gang unleashed in Lagos today against innocent citizens is what he wants to assume the Office of President and scale to the rest of Nigeria in the name of ‘controlling the Center?’

“Tufia! The God of Justice forbids.”
