APC, SDP, ADC Governorship Rivers Governorship Candidates Storm Police Headquarters Over Alleged Intimidation By Governor Wike

Governorship candidates under the platform of four different political parties in Rivers State have reportedly stormed the State Police headquarters on Friday.

According to reports, the candidates are protesting over alleged intimidation by Governor Nyesom Wike ahead of the governorship election scheduled for the 18th of March, 2023.

The protesting candidates include Senator Magnus Abe of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Tonye Cole of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Accord, and Tonte Ibraye, African Democratic Congress.

The opposition parties also alleged that their members and supporters are being harassed and arrested by security agencies working for governor Wike and called for the immediate release of all those arrested within this political period.
