Kogi State Lawmaker, Jimoh Omiata Is Dead

A lawmaker representing Yagba in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honorable Jimoh Omiata, is dead.

Reports has it that Omiata, who hailed from Igbagun community in Yagba East Local Government of the state, was a two-term member of the Kogi State House of Assembly.

It was also learnt that the deceased is the first person to ever win election twice to the House from the council area.

A nephew, who confirmed his death to the press on Monday morning, said the lawmaker died in Lagos while he was recuperating from an undisclosed illness he had been battling for some time.
