Widow of late Nigeria's foremost social crusader, Mrs. Ganit Gani Fawehinmi, has described Edo state governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as 'another Gani Fawehinmi in the making'

She made the remark in Benin at the weekend during the commissioning of Costain Road and the adjoining streets named after Chief Gani Fawehinmi by the Edo State government  in honour of his struggle to make Nigeria a better society.

Mrs. Gani who led a gathering of activists to the occasion went into a frenzy of labour solidarity songs before making her speech, explained that she did it in remembrance of her husband who would sing the song anytime he wanted to go out.

While appreciating Governor Oshiomhole for the gesture, Mrs. Gani who was accompanied by one of her daughters, advised the governor to do more for the people of Edo state, with emphasis on agriculture.

Speakers at the occasion included Ekiti state AC governorship candidate, Mr. Kayode Fayemi , Chief Frank Ovie Kokori, Femi Falana, Festus Keyamo, and the Vice-President of the Nigerian Labour Congress(NLC), Mr. Isah Aremu.

Mr. Falana while commending Governor Oshiomhole for honouring Fawehinmi and doing activists proud by his performance in Edo State, remarked that 'it takes honour for a great man to honour another great man'.
