2023: Tinubu promises equitable distribution of resources fornational development; bags traditional title in Ebonyi

The All Progressive Congress APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Timubu has promised to embark on equitable distribution of resources to every part of the country in order to achieve even national development if elected president of federal Republic of Nigeria.

The former governor of Lagos state made the pledge during his interaction with Ebonyi stakeholders at the new Executive Council Chambers, Abakalik, Ebonyi state capital.

Ebonyi State Traditional Rulers Council has honoured the APC presidential candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu with a prestigious chieftaincy title: "Dike di Oha Mma" (a Hero Loved by All) .

The interactive session was part of activities marking Tinubu's campaign tour of the State.

The Presidential candidate, while addressing the Stakeholders commended Governor David Nweze Umahi for his giant infrastructural strides in Ebonyi State.

He appreciated the Governor and the APC Governorship Candidate in the State, Right Honourable Francis Nwifuru for their support to his Candidacy and assured that he would repay their solidarity.

"You can be an Engineer ten times over but if don't love your people, you may not develop your house not to talk of the State.

"When we entered this Executive Council Chambers, one would think we are in the United Nations, this is a product of intelligence and ingenuity."

Ahmed Tinubu assured that he would keep to his promise to develop all facets of the Country including Ebonyi State if elected President in 2023.

Remarking, the Chairman, Ebonyi State Traditional Rulers Council, HRH Eze Charles Mkpuma wished the Presidential candidate success in his aspiration, assuring him of the people's support.

He said the title was to buttress Tinubu's acceptability by the generality of the people of the State, including the traditional institution.

"We congratulate our incoming President, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu for your success in the just concluded Presidential Primary, our people are happy with you that you are here to see us even though we had resolved to support you and other Candidates of APC."

Eze Mkpuma who is also the Chairman of the SouthEast traditional Rulers Council, requested the APC Presidential Candidate to consider zoning the Senate Presidential Slot to Ebonyi State when he becomes president in 2023.

Governor Umahi applauded the APC Presidential Candidate and President Muhammadu Buhari for their support to Ebonyi State.

He reiterated the resolve of his administration to continue to deliver the goods to the people until he successfully anchors the ship in 2023.

"Mr. President, we have performed, we have done very well here, we have discharged. Everywhere in Ebonyi State, our presence is felt.

"Anybody who wants to challenge us should tell us if we have not fared better under APC Government."

Tinubu further in the night, commissioned the Camp David estate road leading from the Centenary City, across Bishop Michael Nnachi Okoro Flyover to the densely populated Murtala Muhammed quarters Abakaliki.

The Presidential Candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his entourage were later treated to a gala night at the Christian Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki, where he renewed his commitment to carry Ebonyi people along in the scheme of things if elected President in 2023.

"I see the Governor who is so committed to the development programmes of his people, David, you are doing a wonderful job, please remember to document some of these achievements.

"Those of you who wants to suffer for democracy must vote, it is a commitment to progress, commitment to development, that is why our party is All Progressives Congress, APC."

Governor Umahi assured the APC Presidential Candidate that the State would give him and other APC Candidates block votes during the general elections.

"APC has been good to us and we are going to reciprocate with our votes, we are obedient only to APC, APC in Ebonyi State has performed, nobody else will develop our State more than us.

"We will work with you, we will work with your Government, we are not sychophants, we will vote for you but don't allow people to displace us."
